Accountemps has an employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to support an Accounting department. The Accounting Clerk duties will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity based in the Centerville, Utah area. Your responsibilities - Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Post financial figures to journals and ledgers - Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Categorize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balanceJob Requirements:- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities - Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel - Proficiency in Enter Vendor Invoices - Accounts Payable (AP) experience - Proven knowledge of GAAP Accounting - Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) - Bank Account Reconciliation experience preferred - Experience with Credit Card ReconciliationAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
