Overview of Position

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance Team. This person will be responsible for maintaining current standards and processes at Groove while leaning in with their accounting expertise. This person will use their analytical skills to ensure that accounts and reports are accurate at Groove.

What you'll own

• Assist in preparing the financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Controller's attention
• Create and maintain accurate managerial reports for multiple departments as needed
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist Controller with conducting audits
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance
• Assist in month end close process
• Support payroll process
• Other duties as assignedExperience and skills you'll have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in general or tax accounting
  • Experience with accounting software programs
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with G Suite
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
  • Previous experience in the transportation/hospitality industry a plus, but not required
  • Previous experience with Salesforce and FinancialForce a plus, but not requiredPerks & Benefits
