At Celtic Bank, the Treasury Accountant will perform complex account reconciliations, including calculations, analysis, and posting journal entries. Will ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations The ideal Treasury Accountant will have two plus years of accounting experience and previous Wire/ACH transfer.   • Prepare or review daily and/or monthly general ledger reconciliations
    • Perform complex account reconciliations, including calculations, analysis, and posting journal entries
    • Make necessary corrections and/or adjustments to processes to ensure that financial reporting is accurate and timely and adequate internal controls are maintained
    • Ensure accuracy of accounting information contained in reports and exhibits and trace and reconcile unusual variances
    • Assist with the management of cash flows including daily cash activities
    • Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations
    • Works collaboratively with other departments to research and resolve accounting discrepancies for general ledger out of balances.
    • General working knowledge of NACHA procedures and guidelines
    • Manage daily Internal Wire Dashboard - All Incoming/Outgoing Wire Transfers, Svc Messages
    • Approval of all Incoming & Outgoing Wire Transfers through the Federal Reserve WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO DO IT
      • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
      • Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and banking operations preferred
      • Knowledge of internal controls as they relate to financial reporting
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Ability to effectively interact with various divisions and levels of management throughout the company
      • Excellent PC and technology skills, including proficiency of Excel, the MS Office Suite, and accounting systems
      • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
        • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and one year or more of accounting experience
        • Previous Wire/ACH transfer experience a plus BENEFITS

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.             • Stationary Work: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle documents, and perform other office related duties. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
            • Mobility: The employee in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
            • Communicate: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and will frequently communicate with others. Must be able to read, write and understand fluent English.
