Collections Coordinator

Job Description:

Legacy Logistics is looking for a full-time collections coordinator to join our Logistics team. You must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills. The position will be responsible for resolving billings issues, monitoring accounts receivable, and researching and problem solving for customers. You must also be able to manage time effectively and maintain effective performance under pressure. You must have customer service skills and a knowledge of basic computer concepts required. Previous experience in logistics and supply chain helpful.

This is a full-time position with benefits. You will work, Monday through Friday - 8 AM to 5 PM. This is NOT a remote position. This position pays $20 an hour.

DUTIES:

• Monitor all accounts receivable
• Call customers when accounts are past due
• Maintain records of contacts made with past due customers
• Resolve billing issues
• Research problems with customer accounts
• Approve credit for new customers
• Send out customer statements
• Enter customer payment into accounting system
  SKILLS:
  
  
  • Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Knowledge and experience of/with proper telephone etiquette
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn new skills
