tomorrow.This is an on-site role at our facility in Lindon,
UT.Summary of This RoleProcesses and reviews client credit
applications. Makes recommendations in accordance with sound
credit-granting principles and compliance with Company, Sponsor
Bank and Legal, Policy and Procedures. Effectively interacts with
merchants, sales representatives, Senior Underwriters and
Management to achieve timely adjudication of applications and in
limiting loss, assessing risk, and in protecting the company
against fraud and other risks.What Part Will You Play?Risk
Calculation Approval Limit is generally $150,000 , in accordance
with the US Credit Policy.Understand the risks associated with the
payment processing industry (Fraud, Credit, Regulatory, Legal,
etc.)Verify all information provided on the merchant application
and supporting documentation is correct and consistent with
required standards. Call merchants regarding their applications
when needed to verify information.Demonstrate advanced proficiency
in all underwriting processes and policies, and be able to
communicate that knowledge verbally and in writing to other
staff.Work closely with Sales Mgt to resolve questions and pending
deal resolution.Independently underwrite all new applications
within Sr. Underwriter approval authority consistent with
underwriting policies and guidelines.Applies in-depth and advanced
credit knowledge and judgement with a solid understanding of
industry standards and corporate operations practices to complete
more complex credit decisions Performs advanced analysis of credit
reports, financials, tax returns and other similar
documentation.Seeks alternative means of financing or counter
offers for all merchant/clients when it is determined that the
original request cannot be accommodated.When risk exceeds the Sr.
Underwriter approval authority provides write up and
recommendations to management.Communicate decisions effectively in
both verbal and written communication.Must work to evaluate and
make recommendations to the Manager and Director, and where
required WWC (Worldwide Corporate Credit) review on accounts beyond
individual approval authority.Properly file paperwork.Review files
from other underwriting staff for accuracy.Mentor lower level
analysts.When requested consult with Mgt. on procedural and policy
changes, concerns or clarifications.When requested assist
Underwriting Mgt. with training and development of underwriting
personnel.Perform audits for Mgt.May serve on special project
resource teams as assigned.Good understanding of niche markets and
areas of expertise for the platform.Demonstrate strong
interpersonal and team work skills, must have ability to work with
individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and maintain cordial
and effective relationships with clients, coworkers, and other
business contacts.Additional primary duties will be assigned as
required.What Are We Looking For in This Role?Minimum
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or
combination of a related degree and experience required.Typically
minimum 4 years relevant experience in credit, risk or equivalent
experienceIn-depth credit operations knowledge, industry standards
corporate policy and operational practices.Strong business and
consumer credit and exposure analysis skills.Strong ability to
read/review/analyze personal and business financial statements,
interpret credit bureau reports, analyze trade experience, tax
documents, and utilize external financial resources.Strong
analytical and process skills.Strong communication (written and
verbal), customer service, multi-tasking skills.Strong
interpersonal and team work skills, and must have ability to work
effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and
maintain cordial and successful relationships with coworkers, and
other business contacts.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge
and judgment to complete more complex credit decisions.Advanced
proficiency in all underwriting processes and policies, and be able
to communicate that knowledge verbally and in writing to other
staff.Previous experience with Salesforce preferredWhat Are Our
