This position is a hybrid position; it will require -1 day onsite a week in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. Overview Myriad Genetics, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and self-directed full-time AP Accountant who will be responsible for various payables activities within the accounting department. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for processing AP invoices Help ensure compliance with company purchasing policy & PO process Assists in payment processing by preparing checks, wire transfers, ACH and SUA credit card payments Assist in month end closing Responsible for company T&E processing in compliance with corporate policy Investigates and reconciles discrepancies or unusual items Monitors and maintains bank balances Communicates with internal personnel regarding expenditure questions Corresponds with vendors via phone or email regarding questions Assists in preparation of 1099 forms Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned Main backup for all aspects of AP processes, including International AP operations Qualifications BA/BS degree in accounting or at least three-year high volume AP experience required Must have superior professional office demeanor and good organizational skills to maintain financial records and correspondence Must be able to follow established policies and procedures to complete assignments with a high level of accuracy Must be motivated, self-directed, and responsible for meeting deadlines Experience with the use of Microsoft Office Products (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook) Accounting ERP system knowledge and experience (Oracle experience a plus) Physical & Lifting Requirements Lifting Requirements - light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
