Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Quality Technician/Admin to join our team in the Salt Lake City office.

Position Overview:

The Quality Control area is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems activities. The QA Technician will help oversee development and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. The QA Technician will also ensure finished products conform to government and company standards regulations

How you contribute:


  • Performs inspections and/or QC of supplier products (raw material, sub-assemblies and finish goods) based on approved specifications and/or work instruction/procedures to meet Laborie's requirements and quality standards.
  • Performs First Article Inspection (FAI) and prepares conformance reports based on approved specifications.
  • Creates incoming inspection QC test/forms based on provided inspection criteria.
  • Reviews and maintains required incoming receiving records to ensure compliance with Laborie's QMS.
  • Initiates Non-Conforming Reports (NCRs) in accordance with an ISO 13485 quality management system.
  • Participates in and provides materials to support MRB meetings for nonconformances, and other Ad-hoc meetings with cross functional teams to establish product inspection criteria.
  • Seeks improvements for QC forms and procedures for Incoming Inspection.
  • Works closely with production staff concerning quality discrepancies and provide feedback in support of preventative and corrective action activities.

    Final Quality Control:
    • Reviews and maintains device history records (DHR) and associated data for device release in accordance with quality system and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensures completeness and accuracy of information contained in records.
    • Maintains required documentation and records in accordance with quality system and regulatory requirements
      • Assist in root cause investigations when needed, release and monitoring of work order compliance, and with NCR initiation and containment.
      • Oversee aspects of production controls and lines audit.
      • Assist with site goals and objectives. This function is responsible for activities related to the operation and production of goods while achieving speed, quality, and cost targets.
      • Ensure that our product lines are monitoring and remain compliant.
      • Support production in all areas.

        • Demonstrated command of the English language (oral and written)
        • 2 years of experience in a related position with a High School diploma
        • 0 years of experience required with an AS, BS, or MS degree.
        • Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma (or equivalent) in Biomedical, Electronics or related field preferred
        • Excellent organizational skills
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
        • Knowledge of medical device quality and safety requirements
        • Familiar with ISO 13485
