Job Description:

MRM is seeking a Media Planner to join our media team. We offer an environment that is challenging, creative, collaborative and supports individual professional development. The Media Planner will drive day-to-day management of paid media campaigns based on assigned accounts. This role is required to implement media strategies, working closely with the Media Supervisor and/or Associate Media Director and Associate Media Planners, as well as cross-functional teams (Account Management, Strategy, Creative and Analytics) and media partners and publishers to plan and buy media based on client objectives and goals. Plans are heavily digital (display, programmatic, social, search, video, audio and native), along with some traditional media (print, OOH, email/newsletters).

He/she is required to learn and know the procedures and processes of the day-to-day management of media campaigns, spearhead communication with media partners and publishers, and ensure successful executive and optimization of campaigns for best performance results. What You'll Do

Media Planning & Buying - 50%Lead RFP creation and review of partners/sites, compile proposal analysis and drive partner Spearhead and contribute to creation and presentation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategy decks, and other related functions.Collaborate with Assistant Media Planners, Senior Media Planners and/or Media Supervisor and Associate Media Director for strategy and plan development.Employ MRM's suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools and resources for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and execution, and reporting.Oversee accuracy of plan details and insertion orders within internal systems to reserve advertising space.Participate in team brainstorms to kick off planning and consideration set development.Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications, namely within the digital space, and appropriately apply that knowledge.Ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams during planning process and execution, including Account Management, Project Management, Analytics, Strategy and Creative teams.

Campaign Management & Execution - 20% Oversee trafficking and site tagging, ensuring all first- and third-party trafficking is properly implemented.Issue specs documents and ensure all materials are received and processed accordingly.Oversee creation of campaign post launch information (i.e., screenshots, links and placement information) to demonstrate proof of placement for clients.Work alongside Associate Media Planner on mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, campaign validation and brand safety.

Reporting & Analysis - 20% Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, media partners and the client.Parse through partner ad verification and ad server data to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implications.Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown.Use learnings drawn from data to effectively optimize campaigns.

Relationship Management - 5% Through effective verbal and written communication, develop and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with cross-functional partners, i.e. Account Management, Strategy, Analytics, Creative, Project Management, as well as clients and partners/vendors.Effectively manage up and down, collaborate with Media Supervisor and/or Associate Media Director in day to day account activities, status and deliverables.
Mentorship - 5% Contribute to development and training across new Media team members.Delegate and provide real time feedback to direct report(s).

Preferred Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience in digital planning and/or buying experience.Basic knowledge of various channels (video, display, programmatic, social).Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts.Confidence within Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with a third-party ad server and ad verifications (DCM, Double Verify, Innovid preferred).
