Grumman has an opening for a Sr. Principal Product Trainer to
support weapon system-based training. This position will be located
in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent
(GBSD) Support Systems Team (SST). This position will be located in
Roy, Utah. The Product Trainer will support the Training Services
Lead in providing design, development, and delivery of training
courseware and related services. They will support the creation and
maintenance of formal curricula and other training services.Job
- Support the development of criteria for evaluating
effectiveness of training activities.
- Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training
requirements and maintain updated technical information.
- Develop task lists, objectives, syllabi and training products
according to DoD, USAF and ACC operating instructions and
Instructional System Design (ISD).
- Provide input to meet new training requirements and to keep
technical information up to date.
- Instructional materials and products for technology-based
courses - including online, mobile, immersive and performance
- Demonstrate and use effective needs analysis, project
management, course development, and evaluation skills.
- Instruction materials - self-paced guides, case studies, job
aids, evaluations; scenario-based storyboards; mobile learning
concepts (smart phones, tablets).
- Training materials - instructor guides, student manuals,
workbooks, related materials; curricula to support program
implementation across target audiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify
specific training needs and develop solutions for satisfying unique
skills based training requirements.
- Create and analyze assessments to evaluate learning
effectiveness and instructional improvement opportunities - e.g.
pre-tests, post-tests, and quizzes.
- Use ISD current Learning Theory to solve complex learning and
performance problems.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 10 or more
years of experience in courseware development, instruction or
industry training content development.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high
expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team
settings across all levels.
- Must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to
collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and
- Working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government
instructions, and government standards.Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read schematic diagrams dealing with wiring and
fluid flow desired.
- Military training system and/or Instructional Systems Design
- Military maintenance instructor experience desired.
- ICBM or related domain experience.
- Basic understanding of Agile processes.
- Training needs analysis (and other forms of analysis) that
informs objectives and training design.
- Design and development of curriculum for advanced
- Conducted Formative and Summative training evaluations.
Salary Range: 81400 - 122000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
