  • Integrate multiple application systems to create a smooth working environment to further drug discovery. You'll create user-friendly processes spanning our laboratory and information systems, such as capturing data from laboratory machines, supporting analysis with tools such as Spotfire, and storing it in our data warehouse hosted by Benchling
  • Assist, support, and train scientists. You'll become an expert in scientific systems and a go-to person for researchers on teams throughout Recursion.
  • Be a data steward. You'll ensure we use formats and definitions so that data from multiple sources and research programs is relatable and well understood The Team You'll Join-- You'll join the data stewardship and integrations team at Recursion, which is a team combining experience in software development, chemical informatics, and biology to ensure our data is accessible and relatable across different disease programs, experimental platforms, and phases of drug development. On this team, you'll have opportunities to work with biologists, chemists, software engineers, members of our commercialization team, and third-party system vendors to support our research efforts to bring new treatments to patients. You will report to the Director of Engineering. The Experience You'll Need
    • Either a background in biology with lab experience, such as bench work, automation engineering, or data collection and curation, with some exposure to scripting, SQL, and software development; or a background in software engineering with experience working with scientific professionals in a research setting
    • Passion for user support and enablement
    • Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python or Ruby
    • Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
    • Experience with data analysis software such as Spotfire, Dotmatics, Matlab, or Jupyter notebooks
    • Experience implementing data management best practices (e.g. FAIR) or subject matter-specific principles or ontologies (e.g. BAO) The Benefits/Perks You'll Enjoy
