Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems is currently seeking a Process Engineer to support our Process Engineering team at our Bacchus Utah facilities. Position SummaryThis position will be supporting the Process Engineering group with responsibilities in the Rocket Motor Assembly/Carbon-Carbon/Shipping/Transportation and Handling area. The position will support Plant Rocket Motor manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include:--- Field support for Manufacturing processes (process, tooling, equipment)--- Design and specification review and updating--- MRB (Quality) disposition and cause/corrective action implementation--- Operating procedure/planning writing, review and updates--- Preparation and present to OSCB/PPCB (Safety reviews)--- Process Owner Review creation and presentations (Readiness for manufacturing operations)--- Update and review of statistical process control charts (work any out of family attributes)--- Preparation and presentation to Program CCB (Program reviews)--- Program /customer presentations (BRR, Gold Teams, Quarterlies, etc.)--- Prepare and submit Work Orders, Lab Work Instructions, Shippers, etc.--- Develop and incorporate process improvements thru capital and tooling projects--- Trouble shoot production/tooling/facility issues and bring to resolution--- 3D modeling understanding and capabilityRequirements:--- BS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering desired, Aerospace Engineering will be considered --- Engineer - 2 to 4 years of engineering experience--- Experience in problem-solving skills and good oral and written communication skills.--- Good organization skills - Ability to coordinate multiple projects.--- Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Desired Qualifications:--- Computer Process Control experience--- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques--- CAD or 3D modeling experience desired--- Experience in explosive operating area--- Procedure writing experience Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
