Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Material Process Engineer. This
position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground
Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a
competitive relocation assistance package.As a Systems Engineer on
this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop,
decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for weapon
system. In this role, you will be supporting program leadership and
the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline.
Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and
milestones to achieve the mission by ensuring teams are aware of
the compliance requirements they will need to meet.Candidates
should be highly motivated engineers who can work both
independently and in team environments.What you'll get to
do:Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and their
related fabrication and application processes to develop and
optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or
application in structures, systems and subsystems. Applies
principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop
metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing
specifications, fabrication and assembly processes. Develops,
analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables,
processing processes and quality engineering specifications.
Material analyses may include failure analysis of components,
systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and
requirement specifications. May review and approve subcontractor
material processing procedures.Task includes but not limited
to:Create Component Source Control Drawings/Documents to meet
Program and Company requirements.Qualify components and maintain
configuration controlWork with Design Engineers in selection and
application of partsSupport Supply Chain/Procurement with
procurement requirements, selection of suppliers, and procurement
issuesSupport manufacturing and system integration & testInteract
with a PDM/PLM system for managing new part requests, part objects,

9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday
through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll bring these
qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited
university2 years of related experience with Bachelors in Science
or 0 Years with MastersExperience with Laboratory work OR Lab
TestingUS Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret
ClearanceThese qualifications would be nice to have:Active DoD
Secret Clearance adjudicated within the last 6 yearsExperience
interpreting specificationsExperience with: Aerospace Adhesive
Testing and Application, Environmental Testing, Instron Mechanical
Testing, ESD Acceptance Testing, PWB Qualification and Acceptance
Testing, Solderability and Application#GBSDsystemsSalary Range:
$64,600 USD - $97,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
