This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What you'll get to do:This will be a highly visible position requiring a motivated self-starter with demonstrated working knowledge in the fabrication, assembly, system integration, and testing of aerospace/aircraft/missile hardware. The candidate will be involved in leading and directing the coordinated activities of fellow team members, other IPTs, NG sectors and suppliers with the Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA) and Manufacturing Planning processes at the startup of a new program. The candidate will have mastery of excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and be adept at handling multiple priorities as well as effectively communicating with varying levels of Customer, NGC, and Supplier employees and leadership.Primary responsibilities:

• Provides strategic and tactical Subject Matter Expert leadership to team members, the program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Suppliers for the successful planning and execution of MRAs and Manufacturing Plans.
• Be the primary integration point with the customer community for the review of techniques and execution of MRAs and Manufacturing Plans across the Weapon System.
• Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) knowledge to resolve technical questions and ensure compliance and execution to the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) Deskbook, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Statement of Work (SOW) and AS6500 requirements.
• Provides technical and administrative oversight to the Manufacturing Plan CDRL A161 and Manufacturing Readiness Assessment CDRL A308.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

  • Employee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll bring these qualifications:
    • Bachelors of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree, with a minimum of 8 years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 3 Years with PhD in an aerospace or military aviation Manufacturing Engineering role.
    • Previous experience leading MRA's and Manufacturing Plan development for a weapon system.
    • Experience performing Manufacturing Readiness Assessment's and establishing Manufacturing Readiness Levels per DoD customer requirements (MRL Deskbook).
    • Previous experience on high rate production military program.
    • Project Management experience of technical teams requiring deliverables to a customer.
    • Experience using Windows software packages and other electronic databases.
    • Experience leading technical teams involving deliverables to a customer.
    • Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.These qualifications would be nice to have:
      • Demonstrated experience to formulate and execute technical solutions to part, assembly and tooling challenges.
      • Experience with Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).
      • Experience with Siemens NX tools, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and SAP.
      • Knowledge of AS6500 Manufacturing Management Plan requirements.
      • Demonstrated experience working in a Model Based Manufacturing digital environment.
      • Experience delivering CDRL documentation

        Salary Range: $98,700 USD - $148,100 USD
        
        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
