Title: Remote Cloud Platform EngineerLocation: RemoteDuration: 6 month contract to hire Openings: 2 (1 Azure focused, 1 AWS focused)Start Date: ASAP Interview process: 2 interviewsJob description:Our client is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to support their cloud strategy which is focused on innovation, leveraging rapidly emerging cloud native services to meet the rapidly evolving needs of their customers. Their environment is predominantly AWS and Azure hybrid, leaning slight towards AWS. They support dozens and dozens of accounts, subscriptions and BBCs and unlike many other banks, they does not have many limitations on the cloud services they can use. Because of this, this individual would have the opportunity to work on a variety of cloud services and navigate how to use them to meet the business' need. This individual would need to be comfortable having challenging discussions at times on how to align customer requirements to the right cloud architectures and services. They will be involved in end-to-end cloud networking work on projects related to shared infrastructure, shared capabilities of certain services looking at how they can build automation around it and assess scalability around it, modernization of infrastructure and continuous improvements, on-prem and 3rd party system related projects and more.

• The Cloud Platform Engineer will help evolve the core cloud platform, by leveraging emerging best practices and tools, securely connecting to our strategic cloud suppliers, providing a platform for innovation for the entire Bank.
• Design, implement and integrate our clients' Cloud Platform, core, and shared services
• Design, implement and manage hybrid cloud connectivity and intra-cloud networking
• Develop patterns for automated provisioning, management, scalability, and security
• Ensure that all cloud solutions follow internally defined security and compliance standards and controls
• Be the major contributor to IaC modules: develop new modules, maintain existing modules
• Design and plan enterprise-scale cloud environments including application dependencies, data storage and flow, network connectivity and overall cloud hosting
• Design, implement and secure cloud IaaS, PaaS, and other services in AWS
• Develop and maintain up-to-date architectural templates, build an operational documentation of the technical environment
• Continuously enhance the capability, security, and experience of the enterprise Hybrid cloud Must-haves:
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud networking and networking in general
  • Understands the foundational layers of the cloud related to organizational management, connectivity to the cloud, IAM, security, mail, etc.
  • Experience with generic coding and scripting - Python, node.js (preferred) or Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code - CDK (preferred) or CloudFormation or ARM or Terraform
  • Significant hands-on cloud experience, ideally in multiple cloud environments - Azure and AWS (preferred), GCP
  • Knows how to build solutions and knows them in-depth through processes.
  • Strong experience with the full SDLC - proof typing, standing up capabilities/infrastructures/produce patterns
  • Experience with Tier 3 escalation/support
  • Agile experience
