Work from home up to 50% of the time with supervisor approval. Position SummaryWe are seeking a Structural Engineer to support our engineering services team. Project types include multi-story office buildings, recreation centers, high-end residential homes, large warehouses, and others. Materials include reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, cold-form, and timber. Job Responsibilities
    • 100% hands on approach in the origination of analysis, design, calculations, drawings, and specifications to create Construction Documents for large conventional building projects
    • Establish and maintain Western Steel Building typical details, standards, and calculation templates
    • Assist in proposals and business development
    • Oversight and mentorship of junior engineering team members
    • Serve as Engineer of Record
    • Peer review work originated by others
    • Address technical issues during construction
    • Field walkdowns and drafting field reportsQualifications
      • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural focus
      • 5-10 years of experience in structural design
      • Licensed PE and SE
      • Serving as Engineer of Record
      • Currently contributing to a diverse team in the completion of multiple projects through design and construction phases
      • Highly organized, self-motivated, strong communicator, and respected leader
      • Proficient in Revit for Construction Document origination
      • Proficient in MathCAD for developing calculations
      • Proficient in Ram Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar for completing structural analysis
      • Knowledge of CSI MasterFormat specifications
