Job Description:
KLAS is a third-party research firm dedicated to improving

accelerate vendor improvement, provide data for decision makers,
and drive industry collaboration. The SR. Database Engineer plays
an important part for us to achieve our mission. In this role you
will be responsible for crucial and ongoing projects necessary to
accomplish our business goals by establishing requirements,
designing, developing, and analyzing solutions for large, complex
data sets. - You would be part of a high-achieving technical team
that works closely with KLAS operations in developing great
products.Duties:
Work with SQL coding and
T-SQLDesigning and architecting Developing and analyzing data
setsDeveloping productsData modeling and query designData auditing
Report authoring and maintenance Maintaining multiple database
environments though source control and managed deployments Other
projects as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics:
Self-starter that can work
individually and with a team Focus on enabling developers and
analysts through self-service and automated tooling, rather than
manual requests and acting as a gatekeeperDesign, build, and
support data processing pipelines and APIsBuild ETLs/ELTs to take
data from various operational systems and craft a unified
dimensional or star schema data model for analytics and
reportingCloud Experience a plus (AWS / Azure / Google)Knowledge of
the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and
structured software development methodologiesSolid experience in
building highly scalable, distributed services capable of handling
large amounts of dataDeep knowledge and experience in SQL coding
with expertise in T-SQLHas a collaborative approach to finding the
best solution to a problemUnderstanding of relational database and
warehouse database theory and applicationProficient knowledge and
application of SSIS, SSAS, and SSRSExemplification of the highest
levels of integrity and honestyTenacity in doing high quality,
meticulous workSupport-oriented approach. Ability to collaborate
with internal customers to create solutions to their
problemsDiscipline to manage multiple, high-level projects at the
same time and deliver against high expectationsExperience:
2+ years in database development 2+
years data modeling and architecture Proficient with SSDT tools
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in computer science
or relevant experienceCandidates are encouraged to read this
