Description

• Prepares and presents the annual department budget for the CFO
• Prepares and presents monthly financial forecasts for all projects to the CFO and controller.
• Prepares and presents incentive calculations for the department to the CFO (quarterly)
• Supervises staff activities, assigning priorities and balancing workload among staff members
• Remains up to date on all applicable local code requirements. Maintains an updated library of code resources for the engineering staff.
• Ensures that project assignments are completed on schedule and within budget parameters as coordinated with the Preconstruction Manager.
• Meets regularly with Project Leads to review design action items and project progress
• Creates accountability within the department for adherence to CCI best practices including the use of the engineering checklist.
• Serves as a mentor and coach for design team members to ensure they gain relevant experience and produce sound engineering documents.
• Proactively meets with other operational group leaders to understand reoccurring project challenges and share lessons learned.
• Assists Senior Design Engineers in the development of project design budgets
• Responsible for quality control and reviews production drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
• Serves as the Engineer of Record for CCI and behaves in accordance with the requirements for
• Builds positive working relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Organizes training on emerging technologies and innovative design solutions for the department
• Recommends hiring, salaries, promotion, transfer, demotion and termination of design staff
• Participates in the development of department goals and metrics
• Assists in the review of construction documents for plan and spec projects
• Assists in the development of project proposalsPERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

    • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited four-year college or university
    • Minimum of 10-years of HVAC and plumbing system design experience
    • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license - Mechanical discipline
