Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a
nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries
for this role across the country. The actual salary for this
position will be determined by a number of factors, including the
scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education,
training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other
conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation
and benefits program, employees are also eligible for
performance-based cash incentive awards.
Salary Range
$125,300.00 - $206,700.00

What Is the Opportunity?
Senior Quality Engineers work across multiple teams in partnership
with the engineering community and engineering leads to identify
broad opportunities for improvement in software quality. They
leverage an expert understanding of current quality practices,
trends, tooling, frameworks, and methodologies to evolve and
improve quality across a larger group of teams. They work in
partnership with engineer leads to determine, plan, and implement
improvements, providing coaching to all levels of engineers and
leadership in support of change.
The work arrangement for this position is based on location.
What Will You Do?
Develop and expand our test automation framework and test
coverage.
Develop working knowledge of the entire application stack including
tests at all levels. (Unit, Integration, and End-to-end).
Groom and prune tests at all levels to ensure optimal coverage and
effective deduplication.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data
Engineers, and with the wider product and development team to
understand how new features should be tested and to contribute to
automated tests for these new features.
Collaborate with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to
inject testing earlier into the software development process.
Identify, share, and nurture the adoption of best practices in code
health, testing, testability, and maintainability. You should
champion clean code and the concept of the test pyramid.
Lead investigation and resolution efforts for critical, high impact
problems, defects, and incidents.
Seek opportunities where technology can be utilized to improve the
business and provide more efficient processes.
Apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to
formulate solutions for software engineering problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
5 years of related experience; including experiencein Guidewire
insurance suite (BillingCenter Preferred).
Demonstrated experience implementing current technology trends and
techniques (e.g., cloud-based solutions leveraging
microservices).
Interprets internal/ external business challenges and recommends
best practices to improve SDLC processes.
What is a Must Have?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its
equivalent in work experience.
Five years of programming/development experience.
