Systems has an opening for a Principal Aeronautical Engineer to
join our Design and Analysis team of qualified, diverse
individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT. Our
Design and Analysis team works with experienced engineers,
supporting sophisticated analysis of composite aerospace structures
and processes. We engineer the latest composite structures for
military/commercial aircraft and launch structures and are leaders

team!Responsibilities:Primary focus of position is working in the
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)/Thermal Analysis team performing
analysis on aerospace vehicle external protection material systems
for multiple environments.Aeroheating analysis for flight
applicationsAeroheating analysis for test configuration
applicationsPosition also includes working with the team of
experienced engineers to apply heat transfer and fluid dynamic
analysis skills to composite cure applicationsSupport will also
include, but is not limited to, performing thermal surveys of part
equipment/tooling, developing fluid flow models, thermal analysis
support for preliminary and critical design phases, and preparing
presentationsSurvey support includes working with thermal and fluid
specific instrumentation such as thermocouples, hot wire
anemometers, etc.Performing data reduction and interpretation of
measurementsAdditional support may include performing simulations
of thermal standardization efforts for composite manufactured parts
and conducting flow tests to support equipment such as autoclaves
and ovensCharacterization of material thermal properties: Test
planning, test support, and data reductionSupporting Research &
Development, Testing, and Manufacturing groups during the

provide innovative solutions to complex and exciting problems. We
are part of the analysis engineering organization, and work closely
with the composites technology development organization, research &
development engineers, engineering technicians, structure design
and analysis engineers, and process engineers to provide
state-of-the-art solutions to the most engaging problems. We are
currently supporting both unclassified and classified programs.We
work a 9/80 work week, which gives us every other Friday off to
pursue passions outside the office. Travel is up to 10%, all within
the continental US and typically involves a 2-3 day trip once per

AeronauticalMinimum education or experience in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, or Math): 5 years with Bachelor's in
Science; 3 years with Master's; 0 Years with PhDDemonstrated
industry experience with heat transfer analysisDemonstrated
industry experience with fluid flow analysis and Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) softwareAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD
Secret Clearance & Special Program Access, but not required to
startPreferred Qualifications:Current DOD Secret Security
ClearanceExperience with any of the following software packages:
ANSYS Fluent, Thermal Desktop, STAR-CCM+, Siemens NX, MATLAB,
Abaqus CAE, Python scriptingComposite thermal/structural Finite
Element Analysis (FEA) experienceBasic or intermediate skills using
CAD software packagesKnowledge of composite materialsExperience
supporting engineering testing and characterization of material
mechanical and/or thermal properties: Test planning, test support,

Magna, UT, UT, USA.Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
