Structural Loads and Methods Engineer to join our team of
qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in
Clearfield, UT.Our team works with experienced engineers,
supporting sophisticated structural analysis of both composite and
metallic materials of aerospace structures. We engineer the latest
composite structures for military/commercial aircraft and launch
structures, and are leaders in next-generation structure

requirements and methods of analyzing composite structures to
determine structural viability that leads to certificationPerform
structural analysis including static, dynamics, stability, and
damage tolerance analysis.Build Finite Element Models (FEMs) using
CAD geometry, meshing, and running solutionsAble to manipulate
large scale finite element modelsDocument structural analysis
methods and implementation using calculation aids and propose new
methods depending on the needs of the projectCompute margins using
appropriate analysis methodsAble to support material review board
(MRB) and nonconformance to ensure we have sound structural
substantiationSolid understanding and background in loads
development, preliminary and detailed design, static analysis, FEM,
D&DT, fatigue, bolted and bonded interfaces, repair, structural
test, and in-service mods, repairs and extensions.Our team enjoys a
significantly diverse range of assignments, and collaborates with
many Northrop Grumman teams to provide innovative solutions to
complex and exciting problems. We are part of the ACS program and
work closely with research & development engineers, engineering
technicians, structure design and analysis engineers, and process
engineers to provide state-of-the-art solutions to the most
engaging problems.We work a 9/80 work week, which gives us every

below.Basic QualificationsPrincipal EngineerBachelors degree in
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 5 years
engineering work experience -OR- Masters in a STEM field and 3
years of engineering work experienceExperience with finite element
modelingExperience in performing static, dynamic, fatigue, damage
tolerance analysis of both composites and metallic materialsA solid
understanding of loads development and analysis methods and the
ability to provide recommendation on appropriate loads to use by
other engineering teamsExperience in writing technical reports and
presenting data in a clear and concise mannerExperience with
structural analysis methods and implementation using calculation
aids and proposing new analysis methodsActive DOD Secret Clearance
& ability to obtain Special Program AccessSenior Principal

analysis methods developmentA solid understanding of loads
development used for structural analysisKnowledge of composite

USD - $135,600 USDSalary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition

results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
