This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel / Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.What you'll get to do:The selected candidate will become part of the Liaison Engineering team within the Specialty Engineering IPT and responsibilities include:Liaison/MRB:Act as engineering authority for non-conformances supporting the GBSD programPerform timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installationsCoordinate with a team of multiple disciplines engineers to determine effective solutions to defects that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectivesWorking knowledge of subsystems (electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems) installations, composite structures, & metallic structuresMaintain integrity of the Material Review Board (MRB) process and engineering authorityManage/Lead complex issues through hands-on coordination with all departments and levels of leadership until completionSome of the tools you'll be using are NX, VisPro,,TeamCenter and MESWeekend support may be required on occasion to support program effortsPosition Benefits:As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)A minimum 8 years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6 years with a Master's; or 3 years with PhDU.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years, and ability to obtain Special Access Program ClearanceExperience with Material Review Board (MRB) engineering processExperience with TeamCenter and NX, Visualization Professional, or other CAD programPreferred Qualifications:Previous MRB/LE Authority for EngineeringLegacy AS Liaison Engineering experience with tools and processesExperience working hands-on in a production assembly line environmentExperience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) (3-D model engineering definition)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem solving abilities#GBSDsystemsSalary Range: $101,600 USD - $152,400 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
