Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designs, researches, and develops engineering specifications
for metallic, non-metallic, and composite structures in all phases
of the product life cycle from preliminary design to
sustainment.
- Design could include 2D and 3D model based engineering for
detailed parts and assemblies.
- Fundamental understanding of GD&T.
- Design will be performed utilizing software packages such as
NX, TeamCenter, and Fibersim.
- Excellent communication and people skills required to work with
key stakeholders within other engineering disciplines, including
but not limited to system engineering and structural analysis, for
capturing all engineering requirements needed for the design and to
achieve program objectives in a timely manner.
- Critical thinking and personal organizational skills required
to capture and complete a design that meets all engineering
requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers on the team.
- Additional work responsibilities may include task planning,
conducting technical peer reviews, and leading a team of
engineers.Basic QualificationsPrincipal Engineer Structural:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum5 years of related Mechanical, Structural, or Design
Engineering experience with a bachelor's degree;2 years of
experience with a related Master's degree
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security
ClearanceSr Principal Engineer Structural:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum9 years of related Mechanical, Structural, or Design
Engineering experience with a bachelor's degree;7 years of
experience with a related Master's degree
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security
ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance or higher
- 5+ years of structural design experience
- 5+ years GD&T experience
- 5+ years NX, TeamCenter and Fibersim experience
- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex
difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough,
practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
- Hard working, motivated, and independent worker Salary Range:
$90,400 USD - $135,000 USD Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000
USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
