history.Duties/Responsibilities:Designs, researches, and develops
engineering specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and
composite structures in all phases of the product life cycle from
preliminary design to sustainment.Design could include 2D and 3D
model based engineering for detailed parts and assemblies.Design
will be performed utilizing software packages such as NX,
TeamCenter, and Fibersim.Advanced understanding of GD&T and
tolerance stack analysis.Contribute to the development of new
processes, principles, and concepts to meet long-range goals and
objectives.Problem solving unusually complex technical problems and
provide solutions which are highly innovative and
ingenious.Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to
obtain desired results.Excellent communication and people skills
required to work with key stakeholders within other engineering
disciplines, including but not limited to system engineering and
structural analysis, for capturing all engineering requirements
needed for the design and to achieve program objectives in a timely
manner.Critical thinking and personal organizational skills
required to capture and complete a design that meets all
engineering requirements.Mentor junior engineers on the
team.Additional work responsibilities may include task planning,
conducting technical peer reviews, and leading a team of
engineers.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or
Aerospace EngineeringMinimum 14 years of related Mechanical,
Structural, or Design Engineering experience with a bachelor's
degree; 12 years of experience with a related Master's degreeU.S.
Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security
ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Active Secret Security Clearance
or higher8+ years of structural design experience8+ years GD&T
experience8+ years NX, TeamCenter and Fibersim experienceSalary
Range: $139,000 USD - $208,600 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
