their related fabrication and application processes to develop and
optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or
application in structures, systems and subsystems. Applies
principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop
metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing
specifications, fabrication and assembly processes. Develops,
analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables,
processing processes and quality engineering specifications.
Material analyses may include failure analysis of components,
systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and
requirement specifications. May review and approve subcontractor
material processing procedures.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems
has an opening for a Materials and Process Engineer to join our
team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be
located in Clearfield, UT. You will be a part of an Integrated
Product Team supporting production and new design releases. Our
team works with cutting edge exotic materials and novel products to
innovate within our mission, working across the facility supporting

and revise material specifications and product specificationsAdvise
customer on product innovationsResolve material concerns for
production operations including MRB evaluationsDevelop
ground-breaking solutions for design and manufacturingVerify
manufacturing limits and ensure specifications are
maintainedDevelop requirements for structural and chemical
testingLead root cause and corrective action requirement
analysisOur M&P team works independently but interacts
constantly with other engineering groups and customers to achieve
expectations. We're empowered to make decisions, but can draw upon
corporate resources to support us when needed. Each member of the
team is tasked with identifying ways to improve efficiency in the
team in the pursuit of continuous improvement. We're looking for a
fellow self-starter who enjoys assessing and understanding risk to
join us.This role is day shift with minimal off hour support.
Travel is estimated to be less than 10%. We work a 9/80 schedule,
which gives you every other Friday off to pursue interests outside

depending on the qualifications below.Basic
Qualifications:PrincipalBachelor's Degree in STEM field (Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 5+ years of relevant
experienceMaterial and Process Engineering experience in composite
material systemsMust have an active DoD Secret clearance within 5 -
years of last investigationMust have the ability to obtain and
maintain a special program access clearanceSenior
PrincipalBachelor's Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics) and 9+ years of relevant
experienceMaterial and Process Engineering experience in composite
material systemsMust have an active DoD Secret clearance within 5 -
years of last investigationMust have the ability to obtain and
maintain a special program access clearancePreferred
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical,
Manufacturing, or Chemical EngineeringExperience in composite
materials testing methods, procedures, failure modes, environmental
effects, and bonded composite jointsComposite fabrication
experience and planningExperience supporting composite primary and
secondary structures, metallic, vendor supplied material
certifications, approved materials list, and support forensic
activities as requiredFunctional knowledge of production control
systems (SAP/Visual Mfg/etc.)Salary Range: $82,000 USD - $123,000
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
