Job Summary

Participates in the automation, deployment, debugging, and maintenance of software code to build and deploy business applications. Works with AppDev teams to understand problems with software build and deployments. Help AppDev create Build/Application/Database servers for Business Application based on documentation provided. Develops and maintain deployment Framework for application and database automations.

Essential Functions

  • Build and deploy software releases using automation tools and scripts.
  • Modify and enhance Deployment Framework as needed for new functionalities.
  • Understands overall system architecture and function of Business Application.
  • Fully understand Source control tool and provides support for advanced administration tasks for all Application Projects.
  • Assist AppDev teams with Disaster Recovery tasks during DR tests.
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
  • Assist in onboarding new applications and foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
  • Help create automation scripts in collaboration with AppDev team during onboarding and Train SCM team to build/deploy code.
  • Report to management on the status of project efforts, identify issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implement corrective actions.
  • Problem-solve and think laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project.
  • Fully understand agile processes and can self-assign tasks in team projects as needed.
  • Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.
  • Support development and production environments, primarily in AWS but also potentially in Azure
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi or whatever the right tool for the job is.
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Create developer tooling using a general-purpose language such as Python, Go, JS/TS or C#.
  • Treat infrastructure issues as an engineering exercise using SRE principles.
  • Manage security and compliance policies, pushing for the right solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to make the right way easy.
  • Continuously improve the infrastructure and automation processes to optimize performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Consistently push to improve engineering discipline in yourself and the company.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to technical teammates and non-technical stakeholders.

    Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
    • Fluent in at least one application development language and scripting Language.
    • Experience in deploying and maintaining software applications.
    • Experience with build tools.
    • Experience in Basic Database administrations tasks.
    • Experience with continuous integration products and collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
    • Familiar with Cloud based platforms.
    • Familiar with overall application design.
    • Familiar with various computer platforms and application environments.
    • Constantly updating personal technical and business knowledge and skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Provide good customer service to customer base. Typical Education
      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Typical Range of Experience
        • Typically, 2-5 years of directly related experience.
          Pay Range: $67,000 - $130,000.00 annually.

          This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
