This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah.The MRB Structural Engineering team analyzes and determines suitability of nonconforming hardware in the final product to support the production line. Come join our team!Responsibilities:Design repairs and determine engineering dispositions of nonconforming materials as part of the Material Review Board (MRB) processEvaluate and resolve engineering related production problems related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineeringAnalyze engineering specifications and drawings; confer with quality, material, manufacturing and subcontractors to provide and acquire technical information; investigate reports of defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment or systems; and reviews production schedulesParticipate in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activitiesOur team works closely with Systems, Manufacturing, M&P, and Analysis engineers in an integrated product team to support groundbreaking development and production activities. A mixture of proven interpersonal skills and technical skills will allow you to excel in this job.This role may be filled at the Engineer or Principal Engineer level based on the qualifications outlined below.Basic QualificationsStructural EngineerBachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years relevant work experience or Master's STEM degreeActive Secret DoD Clearance within 5 - years of last investigationAbility to obtain and maintain a special program access clearancePrincipal Structural EngineerBachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years relevant work experience, or Masters STEM degree and 3 years of experienceActive Secret DoD Clearance within 5 - years of last investigationAbility to obtain and maintain a special program access clearancePreferred Qualifications:Education in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing EngineeringExperience supporting the production fabrication of composite and metallic structural details and assembliesFunctional knowledge of production control systems (SAP/Visual Mfg/etc)Microsoft Office applications, Teamcenter, and NXExperience addressing manufacturing discrepancies through a formal MRB processWhat We Offer:At Northrop Grumman, we are on the cutting edge of innovation- building the next generation of sophisticated aircraft to protect our country. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
