processes, for highly energetic, static sensitive, corrosive, and
chemical processes. Provides leadership and develop of all safety
risks of the process and design the processes such that safety
risks are mitigated or eliminated. All processes must meet the
minimum standard as outlined in (HOPs) Hazards Operation Standard.
Understands and complies with DOD4145.26 ATF. Manages engineers
works closely with the Hazards Analysis and Cross Functional
Engineering group in designing and setting up the processes.
Manages and presents status on cost, schedule, and performance for
all projects within the area; assesses issues and develops
mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery
goals. Propulsion Systems is currently seeking an experienced
System Controls Engineering Manager to lead our Controls team in
support of our Promontory and Clearfield, Utah campuses. Role
Description: Manager, Process Controls Engineering Department
consisting of Control Systems Engineers and Technicians,
responsible for the integration of processes with control systems
for operation areas at our Promontory, Utah campuses.
Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Controls Manager and
Facilities Engineering Managers to develop and maintain standards
for process control systems. Ensure controlled software meets the
command media requirements. Ensure required engineering staffing
resources are effectively deployed to support, prevent and resolve
production processing issues Staffing budget responsibilities,
forecasting, EAC, and proposal development, Creation of staffing
plans, and monthly forecasting Demonstrated ability to create and
execute vision, drive improvement, and long term focus Strong
understanding of problem-solving techniques, implementation of lean
principles, and commitment to NG leadership philosophies, which
includes leadership standard work, and company values System
controls aptitude This position includes a portion of on floor
support within the Controls group which requires a strong
understanding and capability to work with multiple systems
(Rockwell Allen-Bradley emphasis and others). As a full-time

standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows
employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take
every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a
STEM discipline(Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) 8
years of engineering experience with a BS, and 6 years of
experience with a Master's in areas such as design, process,
manufacturing, or quality engineering Must be able to obtain and
maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Experience leading or managing
technical teams in a complex, cross-functional environment
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and
drive results across organizations Strong financial acumen,
including experience with capital planning, budgeting, or cost
management Proven ability to build and maintain effective
cross-functional partnerships Preferred Qualifications Experience
in a formal engineering management or senior leadership role
Background in facilities engineering, infrastructure design, or
industrial systems Experience supporting large-scale capital
projects (design, installation, budget, and schedule ownership)
Knowledge of construction management, estimating, and project
execution practices Familiarity with Reliability Centered
Maintenance (RCM) methodologies Experience with Lean Manufacturing
and continuous improvement initiatives Experience working with
propellants, energetics, or explosive environments Primary Level
Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00 The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base
pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions
as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees
in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long
Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety
of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and
disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid
