to our collaborative teams. As a Casual Technical Employee – Level
5 located in Promontory, UT, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of
paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day
one. May consider one of the following major Space sector
locations: Promontory, UT or Magna, UT Northrop Grumman Propulsion
Systems needs a part-time propellant subject matter expert (SME) to
provide technical guidance for production, development, and testing
efforts. The SME would coordinate testing for one or more solid
rocket motor projects and/or company products. Job responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, the following: The position
requires extensive knowledge of propellant mixing and testing
methods, with a focus on coordinating mixing and testing of
aluminized HTPB solid rocket propellants. The ideal candidate would
have experience with low burn rate formulation propellants and
processes including mixing, casting, and testing. The candidate
would be responsible for efficiently creating planning to mix and
test propellant during propellant development saving cost and
schedule on key milestones. The candidate would provide mentorship
to team members. Other duties as assigned Why you? You’re the

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 12 years of professional
experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional
experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of professional experience. Must
have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD
Secret security clearance 12 years of experience with solid
propellant rocket motor development and/or qualification efforts
Prior experience guiding and mentoring lower-level engineers
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Chemical or Aerospace
Engineering Prior experience in coordinating ballistic testing of
solid rocket propellant Current active Security Clearance Primary
Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 The above salary
range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman
considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers
such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the
candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance
coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid
holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal
