Job Description:The Intermountain Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Intermountain Healthcare. The Foundation consists of a central office and five fundraising programs. The Foundation Event Manager supports the mission of the Intermountain Foundation by executing strategic, well-coordinated, high-yield events that maximize donor/prospect and other constituent relationships, engagement, and revenue.ScopeThis position is a working leadership role for the Intermountain Foundation and its local fundraising programs, whose work benefits patients in the communities that Intermountain serves. This position reports to the system's Programmatic Giving Officer and is responsible for leading and managing the events team, but also for delivering fund-raising results and achievement of Foundation goals.Job EssentialsProvides leadership for a centralized events team and is responsible for the development, implementation, execution, and evaluation of a wide variety of small- and large-scale strategic events that support the Foundation's mission. Accountable to plan and manage the daily operations within the parameters of their departmental operating and capital budgets. Responsible for directing the work of employees for area of accountability, including staffing, goal setting, coaching and mentoring, employee recognition and training, and performance management which includes addressing performance concerns through corrective action. Manages volunteers, customer, stakeholder, and vendor relationships and expectations. Focuses on solutions and strategies that create win / win situations both inside and outside of the organization. Regularly communicates with staff through huddles, team meetings, individual one on one meetings, rounding and skip level interviews as appropriate, and manages resource allocation to projects to ensure timely delivery within budget and according to requirements. Duties will include accountability of an owned portfolio of events.Creatively and strategically evaluate and execute virtual and/or in-person events based on goal attainment.2. Creates system-wide standards, processes, and procedures for events based on industry best practices and historic successes.3. Develops and manages a master, system-level event calendar and plan that increases the strategic value of event activities across system.Collaborate on event promotion to donor stakeholders, consumers, and other applicable audiences.4. Provides expert, ongoing analysis and support of event activities across the system to ensure strategic, high-yield value and integrity.5. Sets and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics on an ongoing basis. Prepares and presents evaluation reports and makes recommendations for corrective action and further development of the event program.6. In conjunction with the Foundation Operations Officer, identifies and hires outside vendors to support the events program. Assists in managing relations with external vendors (e.g., caterers, designers, printers) that work closely with the events team.7. Develops annual expense and revenue budget projections and is accountable for the achievement of income performance targets for any fundraising events within the overall event portfolio.8. Serves as a liaison with event committees and assists in crafting responsibilities and protocols for each committee member to ensure goals and expectations are achievable.9. Remains current on all aspects of event planning, marketing, and production.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree is verified.Plus:Six years of demonstrated experience planning, managing, and executing events.Previous experience supervising others or leading teams or projects where results were obtained through working with others.Strong project management skills with demonstrated detail orientation, timeliness, and ability to work under pressure, while managing multiple projects at once, working independently and providing key informational updates to leadership.Demonstrated advanced writing skills that produce clear, accurate, and persuasive communications.Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including relationship building and strong in-person, phone, and email communication with various internal and external constituents.Demonstrated strong analytic, strategic planning, and creative problem-solving skills used to develop best practices.Demonstrated proficiency using computer programs and databases.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as the events season requires.Experience working with volunteers.Preferred Qualifications* Digital donor activation and management

* Experience in direct foundation, fundraising, or non-profit work

* Fundraising experience in a healthcare environment.

* Experience in a complex matrix organization.

* High level of flexibility and adaptability while remaining productive and solution-oriented.

* Experience with Raiser's Edge or other CRM
