Position Overview
Snap is seeking a Manager, Research & Insights (Open to Remote) to join as part of its newly formed and growing Insights Teams in its Salt Lake City office. Ideal candidate will take a holistic approach to designing, managing, and executing customer research that will drive key business decisions working cross-functionally and collaboratively with stakeholders across Product, Innovation & Growth, Digital, Contact Center & Sales.
A key focus of the role is to further Snaps understanding of its 2 key audiences Merchants & End-Users i.e., customers. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Reporting into Director of Research & Insights, you will be working under Directors leadership and guidance to help build out a strong research function. This would involve laying the operational building blocks critical for creating a customer-centric and proactive research culture across the organization by leveraging/embedding insights to drive key strategic and/or tactical decision-making.
Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with key stakeholders and business partners cross-functionally to understand underlying business issues, questions to be translated into research questions/objectives and learning plan.
Scope and propose appropriate research design/methodologies that would most effectively provide insights in helping drive product, marketing, growth and GTM strategies.


Manage end-to-end execution of ongoing and ad-hoc studies from study design, fielding, analysis and sharing of results and insights, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods either done in-house using DIY platforms like Qualtrics, or through vendors partners.
Build and nurture strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including team members and external vendors.
Establish increasing credibility throughout the organization in driving business decisions by effectively communicating actionable research findings more broadly within the organization.
When appropriate, leverage other data sources such as social listening, news and industry trends and reports to augment findings from primary research to provide more comprehensive insights.

Qualifications

5+ years of work experience in insights and market research either vendor-side or client-side
Solid experience using DIY survey platforms/tools to conduct research in-house using a wide range of quantitative and/or qualitative techniques
Self-motivated, proven self-starter with strong project management ability to self-direct the management and execution of research projects from inception through completion on target, on brand, on time, on budget
Strong communicator both in written and verbal form
Strong collaborator, who is comfortable working with various levels and functions across an enterprise
Ability to influence without authority, requiring strong relationship-building skills
Professional, energetic, inquisitive personality who embraces disruption and challenging the status quo.
Be comfortable advocating for the consumer and driving consumer insight-led actions across the enterprise
Adept ability to translate research and insights to inform product and business decision
FinTech or Financial Services industry experience is not necessary, but desired
