Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman's Space Systems sector is looking for a motivated Program Manager 2 to lead a multi-functional team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems Engineers in Roy, UT. The primary objective of this role is to manage, influence, and be accountable for the day-to-day performance of the US Government statement of work that includes 1) management of Northrop Grumman personnel and subcontracts through increasing design maturation stages and established program milestones, and 2) product development and hardware deliveries to support incremental system integration & test activities. The successful candidate will also have experience leading direct reports and is comfortable with collaborating across multiple internal and external stakeholders at all leadership levels that include (but are not limited to): Program Management, Business Management, Systems Engineering, System Test, Global Supply Chain, Operations, Production, other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and personnel from the customer community in order to achieve organizational goals.What You'll Get To Do:
  • Primary responsibilities are the oversight of cost, schedule, and technical performance of the following scope of work:
  • Establishing a program baseline and monitoring adherence to staffing plans, program schedules, hardware deliveries, and cost targets, as well as reporting and adjudicating variances to the baseline
  • Proactively identifying technical issues and working across multiple stakeholders, from the government customer to hardware and service suppliers, to implement solutions and corrective actions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead working groups and technical interchange meetings
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and technical specifications
  • Reviewing, providing feedback for, and approving documents that support incremental design maturation objectives and formal design reviews

    • Employee Discounts positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll bring these qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 6 years engineering and product development experience with at least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
      • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and associated reporting processes
      • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering briefings to senior leadership
      • Experience in planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, identifying / managing risk, and supporting multiple program phases
      • Current DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) accessThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
        • Experience with power distribution and environmental control systems, and proficiency with industry design and analysis software tools.
        • Formal systems engineering experience on a DoD program or in the aerospace industry
        • 15 years of technical, cost, and functional management experience
        • Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction
        • Master's degree in a STEM discipline
        • Professional Engineer (PE) license
        • DoD Top Secret Clearance and current Special Access Program (SAP) access#GBSDprogmgmt"

          Salary Range: 121400 - 182000

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
