  Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Planning Director 1 to lead the Test Planning, Data, and Integration organization. This leadership role is located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) System Test Team (STT) Integrated Product Team (IPT). Learn more about the Sentinel (GBSD) program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.What You Will Get To Do:This position will be responsible for system level test planning and process, system level test data and instrumentation, as well has horizontal integration within the program test community. The TPDI Director will be leading the following key areas below. The selected individual will be expected to provide vision to the work scopes below to meet customer SOW requirements and company objectives, within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Weapon System level verification and test planning, Integrated Test Plan, in an MBSE environment (CAMEO)
  • SOW-required Test Plan Working Group with the USG and associated process and governance
  • Overarching test processes for the GBSD program
  • Launch Support System Requirements
  • Test Data Management Plan
  • Software Development for System Test products
  • System Test Team Integrated Functional Capability leadership
  • System Test Team MBSE leadership
  • System Test Team Program Milestone Campaign LeadershipKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Manage a cross functional senior leadership team, and an organization including systems engineers, test engineers, instrumentation engineers, networking engineers, software engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, among others.
    • Operate and lead in fast paced environment, effectively managing prioritizing multiple tasks
    • Strong time management and project management skills and a proven record of meeting very aggressive schedules
    • Interact with the customer and program leadership to define and maintain the technical baseline.

        • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and with at least 10 years of experience in IPT and/or program management supporting US Government contracts and customers; or Masters of Science in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and with at least 8 years of experience in IPT and/or program management supporting US Government contracts and customers.
        • Active DoD Secret clearance with completed investigation within the last 6 years, with the ability to obtain a program SAP clearance
        • 5 years of direct senior management experience leading large teams, projects or programs to successful goal attainment.Preferred Qualifications:
          • BS/MS in Systems Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
          • Experience in program execution and demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones.
          • Demonstrated ability to create trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
          • Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization.
          • Experience in requirements verification and test planning in an MBSE environment
          • Prior experience in system level testing environments and test execution efforts
          • Experience with risk, issue, and opportunity management
          • Earned Value Management Experience (EVMS) experience.
          • Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs comprised of engineering, business, contracts, law, supply chain, production, and mission/quality assurance disciplines.
          • Proven ability to lead a high performing team with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts, retains, and inspires diverse and engaged teams."
            
            Salary Range: $155,600 USD - $233,400 USD
            
            Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
