Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Lab Manager for Salt Lake City, UT. This position's primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of projects to ensure that the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives; The role holder is expected to prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project & provide status reports regarding key deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues & keep the leadership updated. This role will give you an opportunity to build & lead a strong on site project team & motivate team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. - Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, Utah or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. - At least 7 years of Information Technology. - Project Management experience with at least 3 years managing a lab environment - Experience leading technical teams in a lab/data center environment - Experience with network diagrams and rack layouts. - Experience working with equipment budgeting and purchasing. - Experience dealing/negotiating with 3rd party vendors. - U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, we are unable to sponsor at this time.
Preferred Qualifications: - Managing a team of 8 technicians working on 24x7 schedule. - Managing and coordinating activities of networking and lab automation vendors as well as a small offshore automation team. - Managing, prioritizing and assigning lab tickets to team members. - Monitoring and supporting the data center infrastructure to make sure all systems remain online so users are not adversely impacted. - Maintain standard operating procedures and installation standards. - Work with the onsite facilities team to ensure facilities policies are implemented. - Excellent knowledge of industry standards for data center installation. - Experience with network diagrams and rack layouts. - Experience working with equipment budgeting and purchasing. - Experience dealing/negotiating with 3rd party vendors. - Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
