OverviewThis position directs the human resources, customer/patient services, and financial management for Inpatient Nursing. In support of the organization's goals and mission, the incumbent supports the Chief Nursing Officer in leading the functions of their nursing areas.The Senior Director Nursing works directly with nurse managers to ensure patient safety and quality of care are provided.                 • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
                • Demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills.
                • Ability to determine the appropriate staff mixes to support patient and customer needs.
                • Knowledge of hospital business operations and demonstrated strategic planning skills.
                • Knowledge of budgeting practices, reporting analysis, and forecasting.QualificationsQualifications Required
                  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
                  • Five years of progressive management experience.
                  • Any employee exceeding the 30 days will not be scheduled until a current Utah license is in effect.Licenses Required
                    • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact if switching residency to State of Utah. Must maintain current Interstate Compact (multi-state) license if residency is not being changed to Utah.* Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.Qualifications (Preferred)Preferred
                      • Master's degree in Nursing.
                      • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association, or obtain within one month of hire.Working Conditions and Physical DemandsEmployee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.
