JOB TITLE: Facility ManagerDIVISION: CoreLOCATION OF WORK & TRAVEL: Salt Lake City, UT, minimal travelDESCRIPTION:Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation (USNC) is seeking outstanding talent to join its dynamic team developing clean energy and space propulsion at its Advanced Ceramics Manufacturing Facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Facility Manager will support and enable the manufacturing and technology operations by ensuring that facility and equipment operate as intended and in compliance with regulatory requirements and health and safety procedures. The Facility Manager will be responsible for overall facility operations, availability and functionality of all utilities, equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, and management of the office space. It is expected that the Facility manager works closely and effectively with EH&S and Quality functions to ensure those policies and procedures are fully implemented. The Facility Manager will record and maintain detailed documentation of all work and control documents and procedures as well marinating access control to the facility per technology control requirements. This position reports to the Operations Manager at Core Division of Ultra Safe Nuclear.   • Ensure reliable operation and availability of facility utilities and process resources
  • Ensure the various equipment are maintained and operating optimally
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EH&S) and quality assurance requirements
  • Manage the office space at the ACM facility
  • Work with engineering to facilitate manufacturing as directed
  • Maintain facility licenses and permits (air, water, hazardous materials, etc.)
  • Manage all shipping and receiving at the facility
  • Manage contractor performance and budget when required and coordinate with all in-house and work occurring at ACM facilityBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate degree and a minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial setting or bachelor's degree and a minimum 8 years of experience in a laboratory or industrial setting
    • Experience with maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
    • Familiarity with routine chemical handling procedures and policies
    • Aptitude for hands-on facility ops and the ability to carefully follow written and oral instruction
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain detailed records and controls
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, work at elevated heights, work in outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain), work in radiological area and an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
    • Ability to drive personal vehicle as needed for transportation of company propertyPREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
      • Previous laboratory/manufacturing/industrial facility management experience in operations that include hazardous chemicals, high temperaturefurnaces, bulk process gases supplies, hydraulic systems, and other similar machines
        • Previous experience with operation in radiological facilities that contain buffer areas, controlled areas, radioactive material areas, and contamination areas
        • Sound understanding of facility infrastructure (electrical, HVAC, ventilation, etc.)
