eBay!About the Job:We are seeking a Director of Customer Compliance
Operations to join our Global Service Delivery team passionate
about investigation and enforcement of eBay's payments and
compliance policies and procedures. These teams are focused on
balancing loss and brand damage mitigation with the complete
customer experience.The ideal candidate will be an encouraging
leader with people first approach, they will have a strong
background in developing and carrying out customer protection
strategies within a highly regulated and compliance driven
environment, marketplace investigations, fraud/risk loss
mitigation, and leading in a growing, constantly evolving
environment!About the team:This back-office or non-customer facing
team incorporates eBay and third party
on-shore/near-shore/off-shore partner resources to proactively
investigate our site along with compliance generated referrals of
potential sanctions, AML, Know Your Customer, and other risky
activity. They will determine appropriate actions against
customers/accounts in accordance with eBay risk, protection, and
compliance/regulatory policies.Key Responsibilities:
- Implement appropriate customer protection and risk mitigation
service strategy to ensure exceptional end-to-end customer
experience by reducing friction, losses, and ensuring we put the
customer at the heart of our work
- Grow, develop, and run a hard-working leadership team that is
leading the future of work with a remote-first culture.
- Build and drive departmental strategy and hold leaders
accountable for tactical operations. Influence broader Risk and
Protections strategy at eBay.
- Support and further develop department leaders through
coaching, mentoring, and empowerment through delegation.
- Developing strong working relationships with key internal
customers and support groups, driving appropriate ways of working
to facilitate a best-in-class service proposition, loss reduction,
compliance, and culture.Qualifications:
- Resides in the Austin, Texas or Salt Lake City, Utah community
and willing to commit to the Hybrid Work Model out of one of these
two offices.
- 10+ years confirmed experience demonstrating leadership in
trust and safety, risk mitigation, regulatory/compliance, and
customer experience roles.
- 8+ years of validated experience in people leadership with a
track record of running and leading great talent across a broad
spectrum of geographies; delivering outstanding results and
developing a customer-focused culture.
- Experience navigating back-office risk and regulatory
compliance at a global buyer and seller
