Job SummaryWe're hiring an energetic, detail-oriented Sr.
Project Manager with experience in planning, scheduling, and
tracking of multiple projects. The Sr. Project Manager/Planner has
direct responsibility for managing project schedules for all new
ski lift and ropeway projects through all stages of the
engineering, manufacturing, and construction cycle. The Sr. Project
Manager plays a crucial role in Doppelmayr's success by working
directly with functional and project-specific managers to sequence
all projects, translating the total business volume into a feasible
integrated schedule. The Sr. Project Manager/Planner works closely
with project engineers, production department leaders, and top
management to ensure all activities are completed on time for job
site delivery and customer satisfaction. Paramount to your success
is demonstrating a high level of initiative, self-motivation and
engagement with internal stakeholders, aiming for timely completion
of all assigned projects. The successful candidate will be a
champion for scheduling best practices, focusing on creating
systems that deliver new ski lifts and ropeway projects as
efficiently and effectively as possible.Responsibilities- Create
detailed project schedules utilizing an ERP system, monitor and
track progress.- Responsible for project prioritization, resource
assignment and leveling.- Create recovery plans and schedules to
mitigate the impact of unforeseen events.- Chair meetings with
project team members and management to identify and resolve
schedule and capacity issues.- Attend and participate in weekly
project meetings to communicate schedule plans, status, changes,
performance and receive and respond to schedule feedback and
questions.- Coordinate project activities across multiple
Doppelmayr facilities worldwide to ensure timely deliveries and
successful project execution.- Coordinate with cross discipline
team members to make sure that all parties are on track with
project deadlines and schedules.- Manage relationships between
multiple departments, inspire and engage staff in the principles of
scheduling.- Collaborate with Sales team to define the production
forecast and demand flow for new projects.- Responsible for project
initiation including project set-up and release in the ERP system.-
Actively monitor the progress of all projects and make adjustments
and changes as necessary to ensure successful completion.- Ability
to utilize fabrication lead times and historical performance data
to optimize schedules, collaborating with production and material
personnel to ensure streamlined operations.- Lead scheduling status
reviews and conduct briefings with senior leaders which requires
the ability to communicate matters of importance concisely.-
Escalate critical schedule issues to management as needed.- Provide
schedule and other inputs for new proposals and contracts.-
Continuously improve the master scheduling processes and systems
that result in optimized project execution.- Collaborate with
project and functional managers to understand and optimize the
sequence of ropeway projects.- Ability to prioritize and
self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced
environment.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in project
management, production management, construction management, or
closely related field.Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in
project management, production management, scheduling or planning
role; strong understanding of production planning, scheduling and
forecasting required; excellent written and verbal communication
skills; ability to motivate cross-functional teams; strong
negotiation skills to plan and implement production schedules;
excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
solid organizational skills including time management, attention to
detail and multi-tasking skills; self-motivated, decisive, with the
ability to adapt to change and competing demands; team-building
skills with technical and non-technical staff; proven ability to
demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business
needs; ability to work under pressure.Computer Skills: MS Office
Suite, ERP/MRP System(s), proficiency with scheduling software
including MS Project and ERP based scheduling tools requiredWorking
conditions: Position requires fluent communication in English.
