Position Summary
The Director, Information Systems will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information systems, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy, security, and availability. The incumbent will develop strategies for optimizing the organization's data infrastructure. The Director, Information Systems provides guidance and leadership in shaping the organization's long-term goals and objectives, including developing and executing plans that align with the company's mission, vision, and values, while ensuring that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:

• Oversees the management and maintenance of the organization's data architecture, including data models, data integration, and data warehousing strategies.
• Oversees the management and maintenance of the data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, security, and integrity of data across systems.
• Oversees the management and maintenance of the information systems, ensuring maximum utilization, uptime, and availability.
• Develops and maintains the documentation of data structures and processes, data quality, governance policies, and procedures.
• Identifies, develops, and implements improvements in processes or policies and ensures adoption within the function and organization.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure that the organization's data needs are met, and data is being used effectively to support business goals.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends and advancements in information systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Collaborates in hiring activities including candidate selection, participation in panel and individual interviews, and making hiring decisions.
• Supports collaborators in all aspects of training and development including performance, behaviors, competencies, and alignment.
• Develops and manages the functional budget and ensures resources and assets are managed within the approved budget.
• Participates in the successful implementation of functional projects as they arise.
  Minimum Required Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated a minimum of ten years of experience in information systems, system implementation, programming, or solution architecting.
  • Demonstrated a minimum of five years of experience managing teams including data warehouse engineers, data engineers, and analysts is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in SQL, data modeling concepts, and programming is required.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, implementing best practices is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in Python, Kafka, Flink, or dbt is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView is preferred.
