Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Software Engineer Manager 2. The
selected candidate will lead the Software Engineering team
supporting the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division. This position
will be located in Roy, UT.What You'll Get To Do:Specific duties to
include, but are not limited to the following:Set and promote high
standards for engineering developmentFoster a working environment
which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop

innovation.Partner with engineering and program management peers to
assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support
and achieve key mission prioritiesCoach, support, train, and
motivate team members to ensure a high level of
performanceFacilitate Program Increment (PI) planning and support
iteration executionCollaborate with peers and direct management in
resource planning and hiring activitiesPerform software engineering
technical tasks as defined by the program support teamThis position
is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform
functional management activities as well as the individual's
current program responsibilities on program. It is expected that
the Functional management role will comprise 10% to 20% of the

is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour
day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll
Bring These Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited
institution with minimum 6 years of software related experienceMust
be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD
Secret Clearance.Must be able to obtain a Special Access Program
(SAP)At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving
performance against scheduleThese Qualifications Would be Nice to
Have:3+ years of experience managing small to medium sized team1+
years' experience with Agile principles to include Kanban, Scrum1+
years' experience of DevOps tools to include Continuous Integration
and Unit Test frameworks.Experience with individual contributor
performance assessmentsExcellent interpersonal, communication and
organizational skillsStrong critical thinking and logical reasoning
skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential
programmatic and technical risksOperates independently with limited
to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working
relationship with technical staff, peers, and customersAble to
assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans
and then execute those plansSalary Range: $127,700 USD - $191,500
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
