Typical Day in the LifeA typical day as a Compensation & Benefits Tax Manager/Senior Manager might include the following:

  • Provides consulting services for compensation and benefits taxation, including technical research and consulting.
  • Coordinates with Partner(s) on all phases of the engagement, with a concentrated focus on complex tax issues related to comp and benefits.
  • Monitors and analyzes new legislative, regulatory, and administrative comp and benefits tax developments.
  • Assists in the management and delivery of client projects, including review and analysis of client data, and preparation of required calculations, supporting documents and IRS filings.
  • Provides supervision, coaching, training and performance feedback to staff.
  • Contributes to internal and external thought leadership pieces, technical training, and webinars.
  • Develops business by expanding existing relationships with clients, maintaining personal networks and participating in business and professional organizations.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

    Who You Are
    • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required; Master's, J.D., or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
    • You have a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Enrolled Agents (EA) license, or J.D.
    • You have 7+ years of experience in compensation and benefits tax, including technical research and consulting
    • You have advanced knowledge of and experience consulting on complex compensation and benefits tax issues and opportunities.
    • You are skilled in networking and developing business.
    • You have excellent communication, public speaking, research and writing skills with ability to articulate complex tax issues.
    • You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
    • You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
    • You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future. Benefits and CompensationOur compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity. Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000 Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
