Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering
Manager to join our small business lending bank. As an Engineering
Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers
and overseeing the technical aspects of our software development
projects. This role will require expertise in Salesforce and
DevOps, as well as proficiency in Agile methodologies, particularly
serving as a Scrum Master. Your exceptional leadership and
technical abilities will be instrumental in driving our technology
initiatives and achieving business goals.Essential Job
Functions
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of engineers,
fostering a collaborative and high-performing work
environment.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and
implementation of software solutions, ensuring adherence to best
practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop project
plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely
and successful project completion.
- Scrum Master: Serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating agile
ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting continuous
improvement within the team.
- Technology Strategy: Contribute to the development and
execution of the technology roadmap, aligning it with the
organization's objectives and business priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders
to understand their requirements and translate them into technical
solutions that drive business value.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and reliability of
software deliverables through effective testing, code reviews, and
implementation of quality assurance processes.
- Talent Development: Foster the professional growth and
development of team members through mentoring, training, and
performance management initiatives.
- Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Engineering, or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and
managing a team of software engineers, including performance
management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Salesforce Expertise: Strong proficiency in Salesforce
platform, including development, customization, integration, and
administration.
- DevOps Knowledge: Solid understanding of DevOps principles,
CI/CD pipelines, and experience with relevant tools such as
Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
- Agile Methodologies: In-depth knowledge and practical
experience with Agile methodologies, particularly serving as a
Scrum Master, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and driving continuous
improvement.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong technical background with a deep
understanding of software development principles, frameworks, and
technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern
development practices is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey
technical concepts to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex
problems, make sound decisions, and implement effective solutions
in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration and Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to
collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, adapt to
changing priorities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Work Model: The employee in this position will work either a
fully Onsite, Hybrid or Remote work model. All employees,
regardless of location, may be required to travel to the Salt Lake
City office for mandatory company meetings, events, or related
occasions.
- Utah-based employees: Hybrid work schedule available after
initial training period in our Salt Lake City, Utah office -
department and job requirements will determine eligibility.
