Opportunity Our client, an emerging leader in the Pharmatech space,
is seeking a technically adept Supply Chain Manager to serve as the
primary architect of their procurement and sourcing operations.
This is a high-impact, strategic role designed for a professional
who bridges the gap between Biochemistry expertise, FDA regulatory
fluency, and digital system design. This is not a traditional
"maintenance" purchasing role. You will be responsible for building
a robust, tech-enabled supply chain from the ground up, ensuring
every raw material meets rigorous standards while designing the
data systems required for rapid scale. Core Responsibilities
Strategic Global Sourcing: Identify and audit domestic and
international suppliers for raw materials (vitamins, minerals, and
botanicals). Build a resilient network that balances premium
quality with cost-efficiency. Contract & Vendor Management: Lead
negotiations for Master Supply Agreements (MSAs), securing
competitive pricing and favorable payment terms while guaranteeing
lead times. Technical Compliance & Quality: Act as the gatekeeper
for material quality by reviewing Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
and managing the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) in
strict accordance with FDA 21 CFR Part 111 . System Architecture:
Design and implement the logic for an internal automated quoting
system. Integrate real-time material costs and manufacturing
overhead to ensure accurate, rapid-response quoting. Market &
Demand Intelligence: Forecast material requirements based on sales
trends and R&D pipelines; monitor global ingredient
fluctuations and geopolitical risks to provide strategic insights
to leadership. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in
Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or Supply Chain Management
(Master’s degree highly preferred). Experience: 5–8 years of
progressive experience within the Dietary Supplement or
Pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors. Technical Proficiency: *
Profound understanding of biochemistry (e.g., mineral
bioavailability, botanical extraction ratios). Expert-level
knowledge of FDA cGMP regulatory requirements. Advanced data
modeling and cost-analysis skills. Mindset: A "Builder" mentality.
You enjoy creating processes from scratch and leveraging technology
to automate manual workflows.
