The Impact You'll Make
Recursion Pharmaceuticals is at the forefront of re-imaging drug discovery through the integration of automated cell biology, high-dimensional and diverse data sets, and sophisticated analytics. We are seeking a Senior or Principal Scientist with drug discovery experience in oncology and/or immuno-oncology to lead multiple programs through preclinical development to bring life-changing therapeutics to patients. As a Principal Scientist, you will:

• Decode Recursion's map of cellular biology to identify novel targets for oncology
  
• Leadin vitro target validation, MoA, and pharmacology for targets identified in oncology
  
• Innovate approaches to realize and validate strategies for novel in vitro or in vivo oncology models
  
• Mentor a team of Scientists in the use of new assay technologies for oncology
  
• Collaborate with biologists, data scientists, computational oncologists, and chemists across the organization to successfully deliver programs.
  
  The Team You'll Join
  Reporting to the VP, Oncology, you will join a diverse, dynamic team of innovative scientists working to develop novel therapies for oncology. You will lead data-driven drug discovery projects in oncology by collaborating with in vitro and in vivo biology, chemistry, and data science team members. As our teams are small and nimble, we are excited by investigators with drive and ingenuity to develop and lead new programs.
  The Experience You'll Need
  
  • 
    
  • Training in Oncology translational sciences and completion of an advanced post-graduate degree (PhD) with 5+ years of small molecule drug discovery
    
  • Experience in scientific leadership and mentorship experience advancing small molecule oncology therapeutics programs from discovery to in vivo validation
    
  • Experience in scientific leadership and mentorship experience in design, execution and analysis of in-vitro MoA and small molecule pharmacology studies and fundamental understanding of state of the art molecular biology techniques (CRISPR/Cas9, single cell technologies)
    
  • Machine learning/data science experience is a plus
    
  • Experience in advancing candidates through IND enabling is a plus
