• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, preparing material, and assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting dentists in managing medical and treatment emergencies when necessary.
• Providing excellent patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for x-ray equipment
• Educating patients on dental hygiene, oral health, and plaque control programs.
• Collecting and recording medical and dental history.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. To be successful in this position you will need
  • Certification or associates degree in an accredited dental assistance program
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a dental practice
  • Excellent, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
