Unlock your potential at St. Mark's Hospital Job Summary and Qualifications As a Critical Care RN Resource Staff you will provide expert crucial care clinical practice, strong leadership skills and management activities. You will provide clinical management to the department through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care of patients. We work hard to support the patients in our community and each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role: You will work in the critical care areas (ICU, NICU, PCU and ED) 75% of the time. You will exemplify professional nursing practice through expert clinical practice, strong leadership skills, and management activities. You will have the clinical competence to serve as resource to the staff and be self-directed with the ability to lead others. You will support the staff and work as a change agent, supporting system wide nursing initiatives. You will assess the need for and assist in the creation and implementation of staff development programs to enhance professional growth of personnel. You will facilitate ongoing performance improvement activities which correlate to the Hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program with involvement of all levels of staff on designated shifts as appropriate. Demonstrates the ability to provide direct patient care and have additional charge nurse responsibilities - able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities You will make assignments for the present or following shift to provide for smooth transition, ensuring appropriate assignments throughout shift to cover changing patient needs and staff availability due to absences, breaks, etc. Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in all interactions. Provides clear, concise and pertinent direction to the care team, based on resources, identified patient care needs and nursing staff skill level, documents critical incidents, uses time and supplies resourcefully, functions as charge nurse as needed. \n What qualifications you will need: Current Utah Registered Nurse license in good standing or Registered Nurse compact license from participating compact states. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing or actively pursuing with completion within 3 years of hire required American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. Two to four years clinical experience required. One to three years--- experience in charge/supervisory role desirable. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 90 days of hire/transfer. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification within 12 months of hire. ENPC for pediatric care and TNCC or other approved trauma course within 12months of hire. Basic Arrhythmia Recognition within 6 months from hire/transfer. Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
