Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatrist Locums Job - Greater Salt Lake City Area Details/Requirements: *ASAP through end of 2022 with potential to extend for child & adolescent inpatient coverage for 40 hours a week. *Board Certification is required, or at minimum truly Board Eligible, child & adolescent fellowship trained. *You will be required to supervise Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. *Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm working one weekend every month (Saturday-Sunday, 8am-5pm) with one week off every two months. *Overnight call from home approximately once per week. *Average number of calls for one weekend/month is approximately three. Average number of calls when on night call once/week is also approximately three. *Average # of patients per shift is 8 to 9. *Support staff includes BH Specialists, OT, MH Professionals, RNs, NP/PA. *Electronic health record - so you must be computer savvy. Cerner experience and computer skills are essential. *Seeking a locum provider that is able to work effectively with nursing & physician staff in a professional manner; excellent communication skills and the ability to explain choices to patients & their families, as well as the capability to work under pressure while making quick, accurate decisions independently.
