Are you a skier, snowboarder, mountain enthusiast, and LMT? Or have always wanted to learn and experience working in a mountain resort spa? This position is for you! At Solitude Spa we want specialty-focused Massage Therapists that are skilled in educating guests about healing with massage, the importance of muscle recovery, and an in-depth understanding of anatomy, sports therapy, and whole-body wellness. The ideal massage therapist would be one who possesses strong communication skills, is a team player, is a motivated self-starter, and is willing to learn more within massage therapy. Solitude is looking for someone who wants to continue education to progress in the potential future of the spa by offering new treatments seasonally. At Solitude Spa, you will be working within a tourism/hospitality ski resort spa that offers treatments to the high-expectation clientele of tourists, owners, and locals. The ideal candidate wants to create a place of work and recreation within a dynamic of supporting each other as a whole resort in all departments. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:Licensed massage therapist, hold an active license and qualified to work in the State of UtahExperienced in aromatherapy, Swedish massage, hot stone massage, sports massage, and deep-tissue massageExperience in providing a variety of body treatments, including body wraps, body scrubs, hot/cold stone massage, etc.Professional and positive attitude Dependable and be punctual year-roundStrong communication skills Ability to adapt and customize for each individual guest's needsPerform multiple high-quality, consistent, massages and body treatments per working dayAbility to stand for up to 6-8 hours each dayCommuting Big Cottonwood Canyon via reliable transportation with required approved snow tires and or chains, UTA bus, or employee carpool, in many variable seasonal road conditions JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performing all massage therapists' treatments and services efficientlyArriving 20 minutes prior to your first service in spa, ready and on time on site to receive clientsEnsuring massage therapists' rooms are clean, in working order, set up, completed cleaning list and stocked properly so that it is presentable for next treatment or working dayRecommending retail, services, and product knowledge of the spa Assisting in team closing procedures at end of shiftAssisting with laundry Restocking products, towels, linens, and spa suppliesUnderstanding and adhering to all spa policies, schedules, protocols, and proceduresContributing to any additional aid or assistance of the spa, the Inn, or other department as neededAttending all spa team meetings and trainings Consistently communicating openly in all team updates, emails, and information THE BENEFITS AND PERKS At Solitude Mountain Resort, we offer a variety of employee benefits!
