Job Description:The Dialysis Supervisor supports the
fundamentals of safety, quality, experience, and stewardship by
providing clinical expertise and leadership to the department. This
role has significant leadership responsibilities including, leading
change, scheduling, maintenance of caregiver's competencies, new
employee selection / orientation, constructive discipline, and
completion of caregiver performance reviews. The Dialysis
Supervisor has accountability for a team of caregivers and actively
participates in the overall operations of the department,
development of department practice, and provisions of patient care
with specified accountabilities for implementation and outcomes.
This caregiver actively participates in and has responsibility and
accountability for partnerships and alignment with both local and
system leaders to achieve quality, goals, metrics, and initiatives.
This caregiver supports and enforces system policies/procedures to
ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient care.Essential
Functions
- Develops and implements initiatives to support department
continuous improvement and zero harm efforts.
- Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation,
coordination, and collaboration as appropriate.
- Anticipates staffing needs and ensures that staffing levels and
skill levels match the census and acuities for the department while
also ensuring cost-effectiveness of staff utilization.
- Complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of
licensure, provides accurate and timely documentation, and
understands legal implications of care delivery.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations, including the
physical plant/facility, which may include facility monitoring,
compliance to local, state, and federal regulations, licensure,
facility utilities, community relationship and facility/programs
emergency response plan to include partnerships with emergency
personnel and drills.
- Responsible for caregiver performance, including performance
management and competency (e.g., annual skills updates, ongoing
educational in-services, and completion of mandatory educational
requirements).

- Serves as a clinical resource to caregivers.

- Current RN License in state of Utah
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers prior
to start date.
- RNs hired or promoted into this role need to have or obtain
their BSN within three years of hire or promotion.
- Two years of clinical experience. Qualifications - Preferred

- Ability to evaluate and interpret color coded test results on
test strips.
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels,
assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and
supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients,
and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well
as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and
issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency
situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and
delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This
includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including
heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
(full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an
extended period of time.

requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and

Hours:40The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual
hourly rate dependent upon experience. $43.98 - $63.79 We care
