Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our progressive health system, renowned for our commitment to patient care and innovative medical practices. As part of our surgical team, you will work in modern facilities equipped with the latest technologies. This role entails providing critical support to surgeons and the surgical team during medical procedures, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained in a fast-paced environment. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and setting up surgical instruments and equipment. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Ensure all surgical tools are properly sterilized and accounted for before and after surgery. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, surgical nurses, and anesthesiologists. Monitor and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures. Assist in updating patient records and managing surgical documentation. Strong knowledge of sterile procedures and aseptic technique. Ability to handle surgical instruments safely and effectively. Good understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and react efficiently during critical situations.
