Job SummaryThis position manages and coordinates receiving, inspecting, recording and delivery activities for the University Campus Store.

  • Display a customer first attitude.
  • Manage the Shipping and Receiving process.
  • Initiate and complete receiving process for retail and non-retail merchandise within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Conduct weekly audits of receiving for accuracy.
  • Provide a vision and goals for operation of the department that support the vision and goals of the Campus Store.
  • Manage the use, maintenance and procurement of all Campus Store vehicles.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing freight to ensure the most economical means of delivery/pick up.
  • Hire, train and evaluate all Shipping and Receiving employee Implement and monitor the departments operating budget.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.
    Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Four to five years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department's area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Master's degree in a related area may be preferred.

    Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
    • Five year shipping/receiving/stockroom experience
    • Able to move 60lb on a routine basis
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Valid driver's license
